If you are producing or preparing to start a business with dried fruit products such as dried mango, jackfruit, banana, etc., you will definitely be interested in freeze-drying technology – a method that helps fruits retain their beautiful color, natural flavor and nutrients. But what makes many people still wonder is: how much does an industrial fruit dryer with freeze-drying technology cost today? Is investing in a machine too expensive?
In fact, the price of industrial freeze dryers is now much more diverse – from small models for medium-sized facilities to large capacity machines for businesses. In this article, we will learn in detail about the price, influencing factors and suggestions for choosing the right machine for your actual needs.

What is freeze drying technology? What is the difference?
Heat pump food dryer is a method of drying agricultural products by using a controlled flow of cool air to remove moisture from the raw material, instead of using high temperatures like traditional heat drying. Drying temperatures are usually only 25–50°C, enough to dry but not “ripen” or change the substance inside the fruit.
So how is freeze drying technology different from conventional drying methods?
- Preserve color – preserve smell – preserve nutrients: This is the biggest strength of freeze drying. After drying, the fruit still retains its natural color, without turning yellow or burning the edges. The scent is also almost the same as fresh fruit.
- Beautiful finished product, higher selling price: Because it retains its shine, toughness, and delicious flavor, freeze-dried products can often be sold for 1.5–2 times higher than hot-dried products.
- Drying time is longer, but nutritional content is better retained, especially with fruits rich in vitamin C, enzymes and essential oils such as oranges, lemons, persimmons, longans…
Freeze drying is considered the ideal technology if you want to make high-quality dried fruit products, targeting the export market or consumption at clean food stores.

Benefits of investing in industrial fruit dryers with freeze-drying technology
Investing in an industrial fruit dryer with cold drying technology brings many outstanding values to the production facility. The biggest advantage is the ability to preserve color, flavor and nutritional content thanks to drying at low temperatures (25–50°C). The finished product has a beautiful color, natural aroma, uniform texture and little shrinkage – helping to improve the quality and commercial value. This is an important factor if you are aiming for high-end or export markets.
In addition, freeze-drying technology helps reduce loss during processing, optimizing input material costs. The machine operates automatically, stably, requires little monitoring and maintenance thanks to its design using durable materials such as 304 stainless steel and an intelligent control system. In addition to fruits, the machine is also suitable for drying herbs, flowers, mushrooms or other special products, helping to expand the business portfolio without additional investment.
With high quality output products, easy to create competitive advantages and build prestigious brands, freeze drying is an effective, long-term investment solution for modern agricultural processing units.
How much does an industrial fruit dryer with freeze drying technology cost today?
The price of industrial fruit dryers using freeze-drying technology currently ranges from about 50 million to over 300 million VND, depending on capacity, number of drying trays, brand and accompanying features. Below are some reference prices:
Small capacity industrial freeze dryer (10–50 kg/batch)
- 4-tray freeze dryer: about 46 million VND
- 9-tray freeze dryer: about 62 million VND
- 12-tray freeze dryer: about 71 – 95 million VND
Medium capacity industrial freeze dryer (60–100 kg/batch)
- 16 tray freeze dryer: about 115 million VND
- 20 tray freeze dryer: about 145 million VND
Large capacity industrial freeze dryer (over 100 kg/batch)
- 150 kg/batch freeze dryer: about 250 million VND
- Industrial freeze dryer 200 kg to 2 tons/batch: price from 300 million VND or more, depending on configuration and brand
Notes when choosing industrial freeze dryer:
- Brand and origin: Reputable brands like SUNSAY often have guaranteed quality and good after-sales service.
- Manufacturing material: Priority should be given to machines made from 304 stainless steel to ensure durability and food hygiene safety.
- Control system: The machine has an electronic control panel or HMI touch screen for easy setup and monitoring of the drying process.
- Energy saving: Some modern freeze dryers can save up to 80% of electricity and reduce drying time by up to 30% compared to conventional dryers.
Which type of industrial fruit dryer should I choose?
Choosing the right industrial fruit dryer depends on the production scale, raw material type and business goals. For small establishments with an output of less than 50kg/day, you can choose a mini freeze dryer or a mini 9-12 tray machine, priced at around 50-60 million VND – suitable for starting a business or doing online business.
Medium-sized facilities, from 100-300kg/day, should use 20-40 tray machines. This line has stable productivity, high drying quality, fast capital recovery time, very suitable for cooperatives, businesses or specialty processing facilities.
If the output is over 500kg/day and is aimed at export, it is advisable to invest in a large capacity industrial freeze-drying system with automatic control and precise temperature and humidity control. This is the optimal choice in terms of productivity, durability and operating cost savings.
In addition to capacity, you also need to consider the type of fruit. Soft, juicy fruits such as strawberries and dragon fruit need a reverse-wind freeze dryer with precise temperature control to preserve color and flavor. 3D freeze dryers with smart controls from brands such as SUNSAY are reliable choices if you want to invest properly, effectively and for a long time.
